I've staid in many 4 and some 5 star hotels in Davos in winter and summer. The Ameron Swiss Mountain Resort is fantastic and I would go there again. The spa, my main focus when booking in Davos, is great! Compared to the Hard Rock Hotel spa the one in Ameron is at least of similar quality and the outdoor zone is larger and better. The pool is great for laps, the massage jets are fab, there are two complete sets along one wall, enough for even a winter-evening-apres-ski pool run. Sauna (85°C/185°F), sanarium (yep. Only 50°C/120°F but with high humidity, really quite nice.). In addition a proper steam bath, an ice-basin (yay! to shovel some onto yourself or someone else) and loads of relax areas, inside and out. There are even snacks and de-tox water --- the pool and spa area is totally fabulous. Room: Modern, large, very good bed, mattress, pillows, duvet- all great. Enough coat hangers (!!). Hotel safe is there. Towels, bathrobe and slippers are good and the bath in the room has everything you'd want. No bathtub though, but who wants one these days? Light is plentiful and varied, you can easily sleep while someone reads with a tiny spot. Balcony is large and nicely shielded to the sides. No peeking by neighbors. Breakfast: Great. Everything there, lox for us Jewish guys, porky stuff for others but also turkey bacon etc.. All sorts of cheese, vegies, fruit, muslis and cereals... Coffee in different forms and surely tea - I wouldn't know about that. I am a coffee person. The staff is very friendly but discreet, a big plus. Lounge area is very nice, modern with a bar - I had one of the house drinks, gin-mix, and liked it a lot. Reception is also very good. In addition there is a fab bicycle cellar with easy exit right out onto the lower part of the hotel. Use that one as exit if you want to go into Davos. Security seems very good. You need the room card to open the doors to all amenities and for the elevators.

The staff were very friendly and most accomodating. I arrived before check-in time, so I left my luggage at reception, which they kindly and unprompted brought up to the room once it was ready. The next morning the staff had left a small bag of sweets in front of each guest room door to celebrate St. Nicholas. Cannot thank the staff enough for making my stay as comfortable and welcoming as possible - would certainly return on my next trip to Davos!

I think it was our one of the best experiences while travelling in general. The breakfasts were fantastic, nature was fantastic, and the view was also fantastic. We were absolutely happy. I do recommend taking the premium rooms as they are on the 3rd and 4th floors and you will have the view of the mountains - it is priceless. My husband and I will definitely come back again next time - 100%. Good job, hotel.

Hotel room is big, comfortable and very clean. Pool and sauna is nice especially the quiet area is clean and nice. Plenty of water, tea and snacks provided. The gentleman kept the sauna area very clean and dry at all times. Reception is polite and offered a bottle of water upon check out for the road. This is good customer service. Also nice to have free flow of hot tea.

This was a comfortable modern property with all the facilities you could wish. The breakfast was excellent and plentiful, the room large enough not to feel crowded. The bar was a very pleasant place with good dinks and free nuts. We did not dine or use the spa. The hotel staff were so friendly and helpful it really stood out. I would recommend this hotel anytime.
